Head Coach: Dennis Murphy

Dennis Murphy, Jr. founded the National Junior Basketball league in 1985 because he wanted to provide boys and girls with an outlet for organized competition and good sportsmanship. He designed camps to develop sound basketball skills so that the children would become better players in the regular season. Dennis was previously a coach at Garden Grove High School where he has a vision of a youth basketball league based on sportsmanship and player development. Under his guidance NJB has blossomed into a national youth basketball organization with over 25,000 participants in 6 states

Head Coach: CJ Hollingsworth

I am a local kid growing up in Moreno Valley/Riverside and attending Riverside Notre Dame for high school.  I was an All-Conference player and honorable mention All-County as a senior.  I attended and played my college basketball at Monmouth College (Monmouth, Il) for four years, three years as a captain and All-Conference as a Senior.  Since graduation I have coached at the Junior High, High School and College levels and maintain my passion for teaching and love for playing the game of Basketball.

8th Grade

Head Coach: Tim O'Brien

Spent 25 years as a head coach in Orange County either on the high school or junior college level. Currently teaches at Northwood High School in Irvine. Received Masters degree from Arizona State University in 1977 where he began coaching as a graduate assistant for the Sun Devil program. Tim has been affiliated with NJB since its inception.
